Item 708, PinMap Software Graphic Screen Image

Use the PinMap program to reassign test point numbers to match those on your custom test fixtures, and to make templates with custom label text overriding the standard numeric pin numbers. This permits the linkage of CableEye connector graphics and database representations to test fixtures you may have for other cable test equipment, or for fixtures you build in-house for special applications (Custom Interface Example). With PinMap, you create a separate "map" file for each test fixture. Easily move from one map file to another with CableEye on-line by modifying a Preferences setting. May be used with the CableEye Basic, XP1, M2, M2-Basic, and M3 systems.

Item 709, Exporter Software Graphic Screen Image

The Exporter software consists of four database utilities controlled with an easy-to-use menu interface. The EXPORT function lets you translate your custom cables database from the internal CableEye format into comma-delimited ASCII text. Exported fields are: cable name, CAMI ID, left connector, right connector, notes, label text, wire list. This text output may then easily be imported into commercial database, spreadsheet, or work processor software for custom report generation. Use IMPORT to translate edited ASCII text back into the internal CableEye format. REPACK eliminates voids in your CableEye database that develop after many cycles of erasing, editing, and adding new cable data. JOIN takes two separate CableEye custom database files and joins them into a single file. Use JOIN to link cable data collected at one CableEye site (or in the field using a laptop PC) to a source database at another CableEye site to obtain a single, merged database.

Item 728, AutoBuild Software Graphic Screen Image

This software option offers Guided Assembly for cables and wire harnesses. Use a supplied probe to touch a wire terminated at one end and the software shows exactly where the other end should be connected. As the operator attaches each new wire, AutoBuild™ checks the entire assembly and provides a clear checklist showing all completed good connections. In this way, you will catch miswires the moment they occur and can then immediately locate and correct them.

When using our resistance-capable Model M3, you may connect diodes and resistors by name and value, check resistance values over the range of 0.5 to 10 M, and test conduction and isolation resistance against specified thresholds. Programmable tones accompany the graphic screen to give clear signals to the operator when good connections are completed or when incorrect connections, resistance violations, or reversed diode insertions are detected. Includes probe, software, and operation guide.

Item 726, CableEye® for Windows® Software Upgrade Photo

All new CableEye systems ship with Windows software at no additional charge. This item is for customers with older equipment using our DOS application who wish to upgrade to Windows software. The software upgrade includes Windows software for PinMap and Exporter for those who are currently licensed users of these optional software products.

Item 729, Standalone Software License (no photo available)

The Windows software supplied with any tester you purchase requires that the tester be connected to your computer to function. Purchase this standalone license if you wish to install the software on a second computer and operate it independently of the test fixture. You may find this useful for database management, report printing, label printing, cable design, Macro editing, and log printing. This may be installed on a server for multi-point access. When you purchase this license, you will receive a document authorizing standalone use and a diskette containing a key code file. Install the software from the original CD ROM included with the tester and then add the key code file to the CableEye folder to enable standalone startup.
